Wang Wenshao was a senior minister who work in the end of the Qing Dynasty.He once served as high official,governor,grand councilor of state,grand secretary,and was good at dealing with relationships.And he was deeply appreciated by Empress Dowager Ci xi,and was known as the political “tumbler”.Wang Wenshao had a wide footprint throughout his life.He has worked in many province,such as Hubei,Hunan,Yunnan and Beijing,and also lived in Hangzhou,Zhejiang Province.During the reign of Emperor Guangxu,Wang Wenshao was in a prominent political position for a long time and had a close relationship with the highest ruling group.Wang Wenshao has long kept a diary and recorded his life,work and official experience.Fortunately for future generations,most of his diary content was preserved.Diary of Wang Wenshao is not only a record of his life as a officical,but also a portrayal of the turbulent and volatile political situation of the Qing Dynasty,including the political,economic,diplomatic,institutional,and personal aspects of the time.It can be said that it is a microcosm of society in the late Qing Dynasty.We can also obtain a description of the historical records of the dramas in the late Qing Dynasty.It's content is very comprehensive and is also rare.Therefore,it is extremely important for us to understand the performance and development of drama in the late Qing Dynasty.This thesis intends to use Diary of Wang Wenshao which published by Zhonghua Press in 2004 as the starting point,gradually analyzes and studies the performance of the local drama.The first chapter of this article is the introduction,mainly introduces the reasons for the topic,summary of research,puts forward the research ideas and innovations;Chapters 2 and 3 gradually analyze the characteristics of various places of the drama;the fourth chapter researches on the types of dramaand the evolution process of the drama performances of Diary of Wang Wenshao;Chapter 5 talks about dramatic organizations and the dramatic list mentioned Diary of Wang Wenshao;Chapter 6 sorts out other valuable operatic information.Chapter 7will compare it with other representative data at the same time,the same place,such as Diary of Weng Tonghe,Diary of Na Tong,and Collection of Sheng Ping Shu Archives.And Chapter 7 will explore the meanings of the later drama research.In the end,the information on the drama will be presented in an appendix in the form of a table.
