Research On Yang Fengbin's New Translation And Annotation Of The Analects

Yang Fengbin's New Translation and Annotation of the Analects,in its many aspects,draws lessons from Yang Bojun's Translation and Annotation of the Analects.Besides,he pays more attention to the textual research on difficult words in The Analects in a way combining traditional Chinese Exegetics and modern linguistic method.That enhances the accuracy of the current translation of The Analects to a certain degree,meanwhile he also appraises some influencial opinions.All of these are of great value to the exploration of today's annotation of ancient books.Because of the close connection between these two books,this article based on overal contrast.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter briefly introduces authors and writing process of the two books,and then compares the differences in the style,original text and the annotation of the two books,and then analyzes their causes.The second one mainly starts from the textual research and explores the inheritance and development of The Analects of Confucius' New Annotation.The third chapter briefly summarizes the academic characteristics of New Translation and Annotation of the Analects,and points out deficiencies of the newly published book.Chapter 4 discusses the contribution of New Translation and Annotation of the Analects to the constructing the history of interpretation of The Analects.Finally discuss the shortage of this article.
