Under the background of the rapid growth of global economy,the per capita tourism consumption of ordinary people in China has gradually formed a prosperous scene.The vigorous development of China's tourism industry also drives every teacher and classmate of tourism management major to think about an important issue-how to train the talents of tourism management major.From the perspective of curriculum content selection,combined with the role of tourism English in the discipline system of tourism management,this paper pays attention to the application and practicality of tourism work,takes the work process-oriented theory of German vocational education as the basis,and takes the value orientation,selection procedure and cultivation of students ‘abilities as the main factors to improve the content of tourism English course.Line reorganization and screening.This paper uses the methods of literature,Delphi,Analytic Hierarchy Process and Questionnaire to test the validity of "value orientation","selection procedure" and "ability index elements" obtained from the research.After three rounds of Delphi method,the content selection model of tourism English course based on work process orientation was finally approved by experts.On the value orientation of tourism English curriculum content based on work-process orientation,we should adhere to the unity of social,personal and knowledge-based standards.The selection procedure of tourism English curriculum content based on work-process orientation is as follows: selecting the value orientation of curriculum content,investigating tourism posts,analyzing tourism tasks,dividing tourism action areas and determining tourism learning areas.There are six steps to choose tourism learning situation.In the index system of training students‘ability in the content of tourism English course based on work process orientation,professional ability,methodological ability and social ability are the first-level indicators,which are divided into seven second-level indicators according to the first-level indicators.Then,according to the competency index system proposed in theselection model,a student questionnaire is compiled to obtain the actual situation of the current tourism English curriculum content,so as to verify the adaptability of the work-process-oriented tourism English curriculum content among students.Through the research,it is found that the current tourism English curriculum focuses more on English language learning,but lacks the professional,methodological and social abilities that students must master in tourism work.Therefore,when choosing the content of tourism English course in the future,the model of choosing the content of tourism English course in this study can help students acquire the knowledge and ability they need in the future tourism work.
