A Study Of Feng Zhenluan's Comments On "Strange Tales Of Liaozhai" From The Perspective Of Traditional Chinese Writing-Studies

Since the advent of Strange Tales of Liao Zhai,there have been more than 20 comments.Among these reviewers,Feng Zhenluan's comments are comprehensive,and he had unique insights and analysis on the ideclogical content and text structure of this book.The traditional Chinese writing-studies had a large influence on Ming-Qing novel comments.The concept of novel,novel creation and appreciation in late Ming and early Qing dynasties all had a tendency to move closer to the article.Under the influence of this commentary trend,Feng Zhenluan also treat Strange Tales of Liao Zhai with the writing-studies idea.In recent years,scholars have paid more attention to the Feng Zhenluan's comments,but majority of relevant research uses occidental literature theory to explain ancient Chinese novels.Because of this situation,this paper analyzes Feng's comments from the perspective of traditional Chinses writing-studies.It's hoped that it would have deeper insights,and originally exhibits the comment's connotation.There are five chapters in this paper.Chapter one,starting from the background.Exploring the basic situation and reasons behind the prosperity of the novels in Ming and Qing Dynasties,in order to fully understand the idea of Feng's comments.Chapter two,chapter three and chapter four conducted in-depth discussions on the content of Feng's comments,mainly from stylistics,grammar,linguistics these three aspects,constructing a theoretical system of Feng's novel criticism.Feng Zhenluan defined the stylistic feature of Liao Zhai,it involves literary view theory,writer cultivation theory and others of writing-studies.Feng Zhenluan strongly refuted the question about the stylistic feature of Liao Zhai at that time,and he put forward his own insights,which is very constructive.The theory of grammar divided into several levels,including structural features,technique of writing,syntax and diction.Demonstrated his inheritance and development on previous grammar studies,and his achievements in grammar exploration.Feng Zhenluan's linguistic comments are trivial,this paper summarizes his theory,about he explained the natural and concise reasons for the author's language.This paper also summarizes Feng Zhenluan's discussion about language style of Liao Zhai.Chapter five,explains his contributionto the comment,and discusses the practial significance of Feng's comments on the study of contemporary ancient chinese literature.
