Children are the future of a country and a nation, and are a group that is of great concern to any country and society. The children's documentary is a documentary about children as an audience, children as the main character, revealing children's living conditions, and enabling children to be enlightened and thought.Different from the way adult documentaries are created, children's documentaries should adopt creative methods that are consistent with children's psychological characteristics and acceptability. The "self-reflective" approach in real movies spans the method of simple observation, emphasizing the relationship between the creator and the subject to form a dialogue and interaction,no longer sticking to the objective record, hiding behind the film. The creation of the children's documentary is to require the creators to integrate into the reality,to participate in the children's world in the way of participation, interview and provocation,to complete the excavation of the real, and to deeply consider the growth problems faced by the children. This article takes the author's graduation work "The Worries of Virtue and Youth" as an example.Through the combination of theory and practice, this paper explores the rationality of self-reflective techniques in children's documentaries.Through the combination with graduation works,we should explain the problems that should be paid attention to in the creation of children's documentaries and how to deal with the relationship between the authenticity of children's documentaries and the subjective expression of creators.
