From Imagery To Words-the Transformation Of The Way Of Speaking In90S Poetry

Although the legality of the concept of "poetry in the 1990s" has been controversial,as a phenomenon of poetry writing,it is still of great significance in the history of contemporary poetry.From the perspective of the way of expression and the meaning of language,it is possible to break the solidified expression mechanism of the traditional lyric subject and discover the unique meaning practice of the poetry speaker in the1990 s.Speakers enter words and oppose sacred words in the process of meaning practice;maintain the multi-dimensional generation of meaning under the tension between signifier and signified;and open up the inner space of poetry in the narrative aspect of speech.In the 1990 s,while the poems get rid of the solidified images and activate words,they show the charm of the mysterious meanings of words hidden under the two expressive mechanisms of "lyric" and "narrative".Combined with the post-modernist trend in the study of new poetry since the 1990 s,we can open up the world of symbols at the linguistic level,place it under the special trend of thought of the1990 s at the ideological level,and then point out the poetic logic of the evolution from "image" to "words" in the internal and external study of poetry.The introduction part of this paper,from three aspects: the significance of the topic,the current research situation,the space and the research objectives and methods,explains the poetic problems faced by the new poetry since its emergence,such as imagery,words and so on,and the rationality of the "1990s poetry" as a phenomenon and problem.The first part of the paper points out the complete and imagery ideographic model formed in the development of new poetry,and reveals the phenomenon and causes of the disintegration of "image" in the writing of "poems of the1990s",which presents the transformation from the conventionality and fixity of traditional image to the individualization and instantaneity of the image of "poems of the 1990s".The second part explains a series of linguistic problems in poetry writing from the process of meaning practice,namely,revealing the secrets of word writing in "1990s poetry" from three aspects: words,meaning practice and meaning generation.The third part explains the linguistic turn of "1990s poetry" from the perspective of thedevelopment of modernist poetics,reveals the structural characteristics of post-modernism,grasps the poetic problems hidden in "narration" and "lyricism",and explores the possibility and dilemma of the expression of new poetry.The concluding part puts the poetic issues involved in the "1990s' poetry" into the post-modern context,and relates the complex connotation of the concept of modernity,in order to promote our continuous reflection on the relationship between poetry,language and reality.
