| Travelling is an important part for the ancient people,and also the best route for them to understand the era.The ancients can have a better understanding of the country,society,geography and so on during the travelling activities.They started to create the traveller poems to record what they had seen long time ago.Here we mainly focus on the traveller poems with full emotions.The Tang Dynasty is the most prosperous stage in the history of the poem development,while the Early Tang Dynasty is an important part of the Tang literature development.any poems were created during the time with rich content and high art achievement.In the early Tang Dynasty,there were 48 travelling poets who wrote more than 200 travel poems.From these poems,we can see the influence of the travelling tools,transportation routes,geography and humanities,regional style,and so on,and also poets’ perception towards to geographic change.This paper aims to solve the following problems and do a systematic study to the travelling poems of the Early Tang Dynasty.What are the characteristics of the traveling poems in the early Tang Dynasty? What is the relationship between the content of the traveling poems and the change of the poets’ emotions? What is the relationship between the traveling poems creation,transportation and the relegation culture?This paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter One explains the origin of the travel poems in the early Tang Dynasty.It summarizes the definition and also the scope of the traveling poems.aking sure that the travelling,different from the normal trip,is a long-distance behavior,accompanied by a long-term trek.Chapter Two mainly classifies the traveling poems into five categories according to the purpose of the creation: the imperially assigned poems,the border area poems,the emotional poems,the delegated travelling poems and the sightseeing travelling poems.The chapter will make a clear distinction of each category and do a detailed analysis.It will also try to grasp the characteristics of same type and their forming conditions,summarizing the content and features of the travelling poems.The travelling poems in the early Tang Dynasty ended the prosperity and luxury of the previous dynasties,and make the poems turn to something touching and emotional.Chapter Three discusses the relationship between the travelling poems and transportation.Firstly,it introduces the transportation development in the Tang Dynasty.The formation of water and land transportation network has provided great convenience to travelling.Secondly,it introduces the influence of traffic conditions on the creation of traveling poems,such as travelling tools,pavilions,road conditions,and so on.Thirdly,it analyzes the influence oftraffic on traveling poetry from the aspects of transportation and literature.Fourthly,the traffic records in the traveling poems provide rich materials for future traffic research and it can also reshape the traffic culture.Chapter Four analyzes the relationship between traveling poems and relegation culture in the early Tang Dynasty.The first part is to analyze the formation of relegation culture and the cultural connotation of the relegated traveling poems.Secondly,it explains the central literary landscape in the relegated traveling poems and poets’ cultural mentality.It points out the idea of "central literary landscape" : when the poets were relegated to different places,they will see different landscapes,but they still chose the same landscape in their poems.This kind of landscape,which is closely combined with poets’ creation and often appears in the relegated poems,is what we called “central literary landscape”.And also it will do a detailed analysis of poets’ senses of resistance to the exotic culture in this part.Thirdly,it will explains their longings for the motherland.It contains two aspects,the first is that the author misses his hometown because of his feeling of looking at a different country.The second is that the author always pays attention to the situation of their motherland,and some even desire to return to the temple and serve for the country again. |
