As one of the representatives of the German Romantic period in the first half of the 19 th century,Schumann has made outstanding contributions in the fields of music creation and music criticism.The work “Carnival ” was created in 1835.It is the most mature and representative piano work in the Schumann piano suite.It is full of poetic and romantic colors and is the perfect combination of title music and artistic image.The “Carnival” is a bold innovation in all aspects of melody,rhythm,and music.It shows Schumann's critique of the old and decadent music power and the respect for the new and energetic music.Whether it is the unique creative intention of the work or the musical thought that Schumann wants to express,he can find a satisfactory answer in Carnival.This paper will take Schumann's "Carnival" as the research object to explore the music and the analysis of piano playing skills,as well as the corresponding teaching thinking.The first chapter is about Schumann's life,piano set and "Carnival".It is divided into three sections.The first section gives an overview of Schumann's life,and Schumann's life timeline is used to describe his life experience and major turning point.The second section introduces the characteristics of the Schumann piano set,and gives an example of the seven piano sets that have the widest influence range.The third section first describes the birth of "Carnival",and then analyzes the music and the implied literary metaphor,the mystery in the design of the 21 music pieces,and the summary analysis of the musical structure and tonality of the music.The second chapter is to analyze the music texts of 21 pieces of music in Carnival,and to understand the characters and scenes of the works,the grasp and interpretation of Schumann style,the exploration of Schumann's music thoughts,as well as deep into each section of the performance analysis,timbre processing,intensity arrangement and so on.Each type of playing method has been described in detail,and the techniques that may be encountered are difficult to solve.The third chapter is about the teaching of "Carnival".It is the research feelings and teaching thoughts on the performance analysis of the "Carnival" teaching.The first section envisages that teachers and students need to do before teaching.Some preparations,in the second section,in order to better express the musical characteristics of the Romantic period,some issues that need to be paid attention to during the teaching process,such as the playing of "passwords" of different timbres,the "degrees" of rhythm changes,and in the pianomusic,how to do a good “stereo” sound.Through the analysis of the creation characteristics,music style,performance techniques and teaching points of “Carnival”,this article deepens the player's cognition and understanding of Carnival,and finds the music style and characteristics of the composer in the piano works.The presentation will solve the technical difficulties and emotional expressions that may occur during the playing process,and provide some reference for future learners.
