The Professional Requirements For Percussionists In A Chinese Orchestra

As an important form of export of Chinese traditional culture,the works and styles of the Chinese folk orchestra are constantly enriched and changed with the development of the times.Among them,the variety of percussion instruments is also increasing gradually,which requires percussion players to master a variety of types of percussion instruments playing ability requirements are increasing.Therefore,the training direction of percussion learning and players should tend to a variety of types,a variety of training methods.Taking the overseas Chinese folk orchestra — Singapore Chinese Orchestra as an example,this paper introduces the characteristics of Singapore's diversified national music and percussion instruments,and compares the positioning and balance standards of Chinese and western orchestras.Through the compilation of percussion instruments in ethnic orchestras and the use of percussion instruments in works of different ethnic styles,It is an important criterion for professional orchestras to evaluate percussion players to explain the comprehensiveness of the present percussion learning and the improvement of their performance skills.
