The rapid development of Internet information technology has brought great changes in the field of education.Educational informationization is unavoidable for every educator.With the continuous advancement of it,the Blended Learning Mode which can coordinate the advantages of online and offline learning has attracted more and more attention.To meet the needs of social development for talent training in the informationization age,the problem of how to make full use of the advantages of information technology to improve students' learning style and teachers' teaching mode has become a hot issue in current situation for meeting.And it is also the key and breakthrough point in teaching reform of colleges in the new era.To construct the new type of college English classroom under the Blended Learning Mode,the thesis takes college English classroom under the Blended Learning Mode as the main research objects.Supported by Cognitive Learning Theory,Constructivism Theory and Bloom's taxonomy,the thesis adopts the literature method,observation method and case analysis method to discuss the following three research questions.(1)What challenges does college English classroom face under the background of informatization?(2)What are the influences of Blended Learning Mode in college English classroom design?(3)How to design college English classroom under Blended Learning Mode?Firstly,this thesis studies the challenges faced by college English classroom by consulting the domestic and foreign literature of informatization and classroom design,and by observing various activities and courses offered in Shandong Normal University.Secondly,this thesis tries to summarize the influences of Blended Learning Mode in college English classroom design through observing several English classrooms in Shandong Normal University on the basis of literature content.After the observation of three classes under the Blended Learning Mode,this thesisrecords the design and implementation processes of them.Finally through making a comprehensive and in-depth analysis by using the method of case analysis,this thesis explores the ways of how to design college English classroom under Blended Learning Mode.In order to ensure the reliability of the research,the thesis chooses three different courses of professor Li(anonymous name),whose teaching level is representative,as observed participants.This is because he is the earliest teacher who offered blended English courses in Shandong Normal University.Through the research,it is found that college English classroom is facing great challenges under the informatization.The rapid development of information technology constantly promotes the innovation and reform of the practical mode of education and teaching.Both the demands of society for talent training and the diverse learning needs of students require the transformation of English classroom in colleges.That means to accelerate the transformation of the center from teaching to learning,from learning knowledge to ability training and from single classroom learning to a variety of learning styles.Blended Learning Mode,as a new teaching mode combining the advantages of traditional teaching and network teaching,provides a new way of thinking for the current reform of classroom teaching in colleges.Under it,the college English classroom design has changed a lot including the organization of modularization teaching content,the production of dimensional teaching resources,the arrangement of diversified teaching activities and the implementation of formative and pluralistic teaching evaluation.It can fully solve the problems in teaching and learning,so as to handle the challenges brought by the informatization age.For designing College English classroom under the Blended Learning Mode,it should consist of three parts including before class,during class and after class.Diversified teaching strategies and activities are also important for the organization of it.In addition,the ways of evaluation is another aspect should be paid attention to.As it makes full use of the advantages of traditional teaching and network learning,the Blended Learning Mode is conducive to promote the reform of teaching mode.Besides,it will play an important role in the construction of a new student-centered type of classroom which improves the teaching effects and thequality of the talents.At the same time,it also helps the teachers to improve their professional ability.In the informatization age,the case study on college English classroom design under Blended Learning Mode is of great significance.This research further enriches the practical research on Blended Learning Mode and provides important implications and references for constructing English classroom under the background of informatization.However,there are still some limitations in this study which need to be further studied,especially only three types of classes are selected as cases for analysis.These limitations maybe lead to the ways of college English classroom design may not be universal.With the development of the times,teaching concepts and educational ideas are constantly updated,studies on the college English classroom design under Blended Learning Mode needs further research.
