Research On High Relief Rubbing Skill

Non-material cultural heritage plays an important role in inheriting Chinese culture,enhancing national self-confidence and maintaining cultural diversity.As an important part of non-material cultural heritage,the study and protection of high-relief inscription rubbing technology is not only conducive to promoting the protection of non-material cultural heritage,but also conducive to strengthening the awareness of the protection of stone inscriptions and making important contributions to the preservation and dissemination of Chinese civilization.At the same time,the high-relief inscription rubbing technology breaks the limitation of the past that only the plane stele can be printed.It can print a large number of grottoes and stone carvings as a whole.It can not only provide rubbings for academic research,but also has important historical and artistic value.This thesis is mainly divided into four parts.The first part mainly explores the origin and development of inscription rubbing based on the invention and use of stone carvings,ink and paper.Through searching document literature,it briefly describes the research status of high-relief inscription rubbing technology and defines the concept of it.The second part explains in detail the development process of high-relief inscription rubbing technology and the matters of concern through the selection and production of extension tools,preliminary preparation,extension process,post-bonding repair and other procedures.It also compares the high-relief inscription rubbing technology with the plane inscription rubbing technique,which embodies the unique characteristics of it.Taking Gongyi Grottoes Temple as an example,The third part briefly introduces the artistic value of the stone carvings of it.The application difficulties of high-relief inscription rubbing technology and the artistic value and irreplaceability of inscription rubbing works are explained in detail by examples.The fourth part,from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage,puts forward the realistic problems faced by the high-relief inscription rubbing technology,and suggestions and countermeasures are put forward to solve these problems,analyzing the inheritance and development of high-relief inscription rubbing technology.
