Research On The Effects Of College Students' Passive Use Of WeChat Moments On Self Acceptance

In order to understand the influencing mechanism of the passive use of WeChat Moments,this study translated and revised the WeChat Moments Passive Use Questionnaire,and investigated 1228 college students by using Upward Social Comparison Scale,Self Acceptance Questionnaire and WeChat Moments Passive Use Questionnaire to explore the relationship among passive use of WeChat Moments,upward social comparison and self acceptance.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)The reliability and validity of the questionnaire is acceptable,which can be used to measure the passive use of WeChat Moments.There are totally 12 items in the"WeChat Moments Passive Use Questionnaire",including 2 dimensions:browsing information summary and following the trends of friends.(2)The total score and dimensions of WeChat Moments passive use are significantly different in gender,and females have more passive behaviors of WeChat Moments than males.(3)The total score of WeChat Moments passive use and browsing information summary are significantly different in grade;The total score and dimensions of WeChat Moments passive use are significantly different in frequency.(4)Upward social comparison is significantly in one child and fiequency,one child have more upward social comparison behaviors.(5)There was a significant positive correlation between the total score and dimensions of WeChat Moments passive use and upward social comparison,following the trends of friends have significant predictive positive effects on upward social comparison.(6)There was a significant negative correlation between the total score and dimensions of WeChat Moments passive use and self acceptance,browsing information summary have significant predictive positive effects on self acceptance,following the trends of friends have significant predictive negative effects on self acceptance.(7)There was a significant negative correlation between upward social comparison and self acceptance,upward social comparison have significant predictive negative effects on self acceptance(8)Upward social comparison attention complete mediated the relationship between the passive use of WeChat Moments and self acceptance.
