Brahms is an important composer in the history of Western music.His individual style reflect the inheritance of the Viennese classical school,but also show many unique innovations,which has played an important role in the evolution and development of the composition techniques.The most important creative genre in his life is chamber music.Schoenberg was one of the representatives of the Second Viennese school.He highly praises Brahms' s artistic achievements and thought highly of them.Brahms' First Piano Quartet Op.25,arranged from Schoenberg as an orchestral version,is relatively less genre-type in arrangement.Therefore,the research on the arrangement method of such chamber music genres must have certain theoretical and practical Significance.This article will focus on the chamber music "First Piano Quartet" Op.25 created by Brahms and the orchestra version of "The First Piano Quartet" Op.25 arranged by Schoenberg to compare and analyze the "distinction" and "connection" between the two different versions,and elaborate on the following aspects:The first chapter mainly introduces the background knowledge related to the research object,and briefly reviews the historical development of all aspects of knowledge involved to more clearly understand the creation period of the chamber music "First Piano Quartet" Op.25 and the characteristics of its composition techniques.The second chapter focuses on the adaptation method of the chamber music "First Piano Quartet" to the orchestra version of "The First Piano Quartet".From the perspective of melody part and texture layer,it analyzes the characteristics of melody part and texture layer in chamber music works,and focuses on the specific timbre allocation techniques of these two types of music elements in the arrangement process.The main content of the third chapter is to conclude and summarize the specific timbre configuration methods involved in the second chapter of this paper,and exploring the Orchestra instrumental style of First Piano Quartet Op.25 arranged by Schoenberg.It starts with the writing of different instruments in the orchestra and compares it horizontally with some of the works that Brams has arranged into an orchestra.It compares the similarities and differences between the two in the writing methods and arrangement ideas,so as to have a more comprehensive and objective understanding of Schoenberg's arrangement.
