| Johannes Brahms(1833-1897)is a leading composer of the Romantical Music in the second half of the Nineteenth Century.In the field of chamber music and orchestral music,he followed the immense ideas left by Beethoven and Schubert and acted as their successor.Chamber music consists a large proportion in Brahms’ works.The three Violin Sonatas were composed during the peak years of Brahms."The first G major violin and Piano Sonata"(OP.78)was composed from 1878 to 1879.Although it was the first time for Brahms to write the Sonata,the musical technique and structure in this piece was mature enough.In the meanwhile,the music mixed the mawkishness into the beautiful melody,which reflects the composer’ deep thinking in life and death.In this paper,in order to combine the musical theory and practical performance,through the systematical study of Brahms’ music and the detailed analysis of the OP.78,the potential problems in performance and relevant solution in playing this music has been discussed. |
