Playing a crucial role in Chinese vocabulary teaching,psychological verb often becomes the emphasis and difficulty of Chinese language teaching for its abstractness.Hence,it’s of great importance for learners to learn psychological verb properly.In the teaching of Chinese as a second language,Chinese textbook is important for its role as a media for students’ learning language,the basis of teaching,and a bridge between the teaching and learning of teachers and students.Since 1950,the compilation of foreign students-targeted Chinese textbooks has been attached importance to by scholars.The 21 st century has witnessed breakthroughs in both the number and variety of its compilation.The number of articles about textbook compilation also boomed.However,it should also be realized that there are some problems existing.Despite the large amount of textbooks,it’s still deficient in the textbooks that meet the teaching demands of different countries and regions.It still needs to be discussed in terms of the selection of vocabulary,grammar,and texts,the sequence of the textbook,and the accuracy of the explanation.Issues,such as the proportion,type,level and rationality of exercise,and the recurrence and practice of textbook,need to be resolved.Taking psychological verb as an example,this paper analyzes the existing problems in the compilation of textbook and offers some advice by analyzing the compilation of the selected psychological verb in three kinds of textbooks.Considering the importance of psychological verb in the teaching of Chinese as a foreignlanguage and the inadequacy of textbook compilation,this paper focuses on the compilation of psychological verb in elementary Chinese textbook for foreign students regarding its annotation,exercise and recurrence.Besides conclusion,this paper consists of four parts:The first part introduction includes the name,classification of psychological verb and rules that define it,and existing problems in the development of Chinese textbook for foreign students and in the words annotation,exercise and recurrence.In addition,according to the first-degree words in The Vocabulary of the Chinese Standard and the Outline of Chinese Characters,the author selected four psychological verbs of high frequency after comparison among three kinds of textbooks.The second part will analyze the compilation of words“打算”,“觉得”,“懂”,and“想”in Boya Chinese Elementary,Developing Chinese Elementary Comprehensive Course,and Experiencing Chinese.The annotation and recurrence frequency of the selected words will be showed in the form of tables and specific types of exercise will be showed as well.The third part will compare,based on relevant theories,the rationality of the selected words in terms of their annotation,exercise and recurrence in the three textbooks,and see if the three aspects agree with compilation principles.In the fourth part,combining relevant theories and specific psychological verb examples,the author will offer some advice on word annotation method,and making exercises reasonable,targeted,fun and outreached.Meanwhile,the author will come up with methods of improving the rationality of recurrence.Hopefully,this paper will be of some help for the compilation of psychological verb in Chinese textbook for foreign students and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. |
