The continuous development and quality of teaching materials has always been a concern in the field of education,which is also an important guarantee for teaching in the field of Chinese as a foreign language.In classroom teaching of Chinese language,the general-purpose textbooks and the nationalized textbooks which have been localized are widely used but have their own advantages and disadvantages.To analyze and compare different textbooks is a great significance to the development for future textbooks research and publishing.Among the textbooks in the market,the elementarylevel textbook is a key stage in laying the foundation of Chinese language acquisition and building confidence in learning.In general,this paper compares and analyzes the elementary-level generalized,nationalized textbooks,and selects the two sets of elementary-level Chinese textbooks published in China,"Road to Success" and the " Integrated Chinese(Level 1 Part 1)" published in the United States.Using comparative analysis method,literature research method,interview method and quantitative analysis method,the comparative study on the teaching principles,language elements and teaching aids of the two sets of textbooks is carried out.By observing the similarities and differences,questions and suggestions from two sets of teaching materials are relatively generalized.The full text is divided into four parts: the first part elaborates the background of the topic,and combines the literature review to clarify the research object and scope;the second part analyzes the textbook from the six perspectives,which are writing principles,new words,grammar points,Chinese characters,exercises and texts;The third part are analyzed from three aspects: textbook illustrations,modern educational technology and cultural factors;the fourth part analyzes all aspects mentioned above from two textbooks,and draws the enlightenment of the elementarylevel Chinese language textbooks based on the above two textbooks.
