The paper analyses the change of semantic features in the development of history based on the study of “tiao” “gen” “ke” “li” “pian” “kuai”,according to the representation of the features, the inherent and the new emerging are the central features, the abandoned are the marginal features. There is universality between The Chinese semantic features and the noun classification, while the Chinese semantic features have individuality. We find that semantic features act different when classify, and explain why some semantic features can not be used to classify. The paper is divided into seven chapters: In the first chapter we summarize the related study on Chinese semantic features,we point out the weakness and indentify the subject. The second to the forth chapter is about diachronic and synchronic semantic features of “tiao” “gen” “ke” “li” “pian” “kuai”,we analyse the chosen nouns in history and in morden Chinese, and we make the differences on the three pairs of similar classifiers. In the fifth chapter,we find the semantic features act different when classify: the inherent semantic features play important role in classifying, the new emerging features can also be used to classify while the abandoned semantic features can not.In the sixth chapter,we introduce the noun classification,it is found that there is universality and individuality between the semantic features of Chinese classifiers and the noun classification. We sum up the achievement and the shortcoming then prospect the next work.
