A Report On Interpreting Practice At The "Shijiazhuang Animal Husbandry Training"

In this report,the author takes the interpreting practice of“Shijiazhuang Animal Husbandry Training”she attended during her 2^nd-year postgraduate study as the material for analysis.With relevance theory as the guidance,the author conducts case analysis from which the interpreting methods she used are summarized.This report is clearly divided into five chapters,including task description,process description,the brief introduction to the guiding theory,case analysis and conclusion.Task description is a generalization of the background information,contents features and specific requirements of the client.Process description is an overview of the interpreting process,including pre-interpreting preparation,in-interpreting task operation and post-interpreting evaluation.During pre-interpreting preparation,the author makes specific preparations from two aspects:background knowledge preparation and the formulation of terminology.In the case analysis part,based on the live recording,notes and slides,the author,under the guidance of relevance theory,analyses and explains the problems occurring in the interpreting process and the corresponding interpreting strategies,and summarizes the guiding experience for the future interpreting work and learning.In the part of conclusion,the author summarizes the experience and shortcomings of this interpreting practice,and makes a practical summary in order to provide enlightenment for the future and practice of conference interpreting of the same type.
