Study On Chen Li's Poetry

Chen Li is an important contemporary poet of Taiwan,China.Besides being a poet,he is well known as a translator,prose writer,and literary critic.His poetry is abundant in images,diversified in styles as well as in writing techniques,and varied in literary nutrients.On the basis of both ancient and modern,eastern and western traditions,Chen Li is trying to use his distinctive language sense to construct a new order of language for modern Chinese poetry.This article has summed up the main motifs of Chen Li's poetry and found two representative images(the butterfly in dreams and the cat in the mirror),aiming to explore Chen Li's poetic structures through motif analysis and image research.
