The Study On The Artistic Semiotics Of Kusama Yayoi

Symbols were born as a tool for human communication since the ancient times.The language of art is in fact the language of symbolic expression.And semiotics,which was first born of the concept of linguistics,was first proposed by Saussure and Pearce.The former focuses on the meaning of Semiotics in life,while the latter focuses on its logical connotation.Since the 60s of last century,semiotics as a science has been widely applied in many fields,such as communication and design,but there is no systematic research on the symbol research of contemporary Japanese art.Based on the typical and outstanding contemporary artists:Kusama Yayoi as the representative of Japan;works with the various periods of time axis as the clue,elaborated the new century environment,a variety of art genre in the "symbol" use and change,and works of art symbol and commercialization of the typical case of synchronization.If there is no "symbol"language,many works of art will lose the unity.Therefore,it can be said that the without symbol,the works are incomplete.This article will also explore the forming process and final purpose of the symbolic works of art.
