| Starting from the growing experience of Kusama,this paper uses "repetition" as the engine to interpret and analyze the motif elements in Kusama's works of art: net drawing,penis drawing and Polka dots.The interpreted works are divided into two parts: the period of their creation in the United States and the period after their return to China.From these two periods,three motif elements,i.e.net drawing,penile figure and polka dot,are selected to interpret the works with intentional repetition.Through the interpretation of the works,the artistic beauty they want to convey through the artistic form of "repetition" is considered.The artistic works expounded in this paper are the repeated motifs both in a single work and in the connection between different works.The concept of "repetition" is used to drive the analysis of Kusama's works.Based on Panovsky's principle of image analysis,this paper interprets the works according to the three steps of image description,image analysis and image interpretation,and analyses the motifs involved in the works.The analysis of the art form of "repetition" in this paper includes not only the intentional repetition of works of art,but also the unintentional repetition of works and forms.This paper analyses the similarities and differences of works created by Kusama in different periods and countries and their reasons.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the works of the two periods,and excavates the reasons behind the different effects of the works.In addition to the analysis of Kusama's works in the field of art,the paper also deals with its success in cross-border art cooperation with various commercial brands.The combination of art and Commerce enables more people to feel its art in their daily life.After a solo exhibition held in Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art in 2013,exhibitions have been held in major cities of China.Through close appreciation of the original works,the artist can appreciate the beauty of "repetition" of the art. |
