Time interval is an important aspect of human time cognition, which can be divided into two types according to the presentation mode. The time interval presented in a continuous manner with continuous stimulus is called the filled interval, and the time interval presented in an interval with stop-start stimulus is called the empty interval. In the study of empty interval,it is shown thatempty interval is affected by many factors, such as the form, sequence, position and duration of the objects before and after theempty interval.Previous studies have found that the perception of time interval changes with the change of marker. The relationship between Numbers and time has been widely concerned by researchers. In recent years, more and more studies have proved that there is an interaction between Numbers and time in different cognitive systems. Both domestic and foreign researches on quantity and time interval show that the size of quantity will have an impact on the judgment of time interval, and people tend to overestimate the time when there is a large quantity, while tend to underestimate the time when there is a small quantity.Starting from the marker itself, this study aims to study whether thepreceding or the following markers have an effect on the empty interval and its neural mechanism when the number is used as the marker in theempty interval based on the internal clock theory. In this study, the classical time generalization task was used to investigate whether the subjects were affected by the location of markers and their brain mechanism under the AB paradigm, and to explore whether the magnitude of the number itself or the magnitude difference between the markers preceding and the following manipulating the magnitude information of the number itself had a deep influence on the judgment of space-time perception and its mechanism.Experiment 1and experiment 2 adopted the same experimental paradigm and used different digital materials as markers to investigate whether digital markers before and after being used as markers had effects on space-time perception and their neural mechanisms. The first experiment analyzed the influence of the former marker on space-time distance perception, which was reflected in the processing stage after thepresentation of the first marker. The behavioral results showed that there was a significant difference in the score mean between different Numbers when the former marker changed. In both time interval conditions, the number 9 is greater than the number 1 and the number 5.Compared with the number 5,the Numbers 1 and 9 both cause the overestimation of the time interval. The EEG results showed that there was a significant difference in the early N1 component after the presence of the premarker, and there was a significant difference in the P2 component at 750 ms,and there was a significant difference in the CNV component at 550 ms.When analyzing the amplitude between Numbers,it was found that there was no uniform rule between the amplitude of Numbers 9 and 1 and that of Numbers 5.After analyzing the N1P2 component in the presence of the marker,it was found that the difference between the Numbers was significant at 750 ms of N1 and P2 components, but did not show a consistent rule.Experiment 2 further investigated the relationship between the change of post-marker and space-time interval, and finally concluded that the post-marker would also affect the processing of our perception of space-time interval. The behavioral results showed that the change of post-marker had a significant difference in the average score of different Numbers. In both time intervals the number 9 is greater than the number 1 and the number 5.In terms of eeg results, there was no significant difference between N1P2 components and CNV components in the early stage after the presence of the premarker, but specific analysis of the amplitude between Numbers showed that the amplitude of Numbers 9 and 1 was greater than that of Numbers 5,which was consistent with the behavioral results. After analyzing the N1P2 components in the presence of the post-marker,significant difference was found between the Numbers, indicating that with the change of the post-marker,the presence of the post-marker was compared with the presence of the pre-marker,which led to the change in the amplitude of N1P2 components in the presence of the post-marker.The above results show that:(1)the location of markers will affect the judgment of empty interval. The variation of markers preceding and the following AB paradigm will lead to the deviation ofsempty interval perception estimation.(2)with the change of the marker, the magnitude difference between preceding and the following the formation of the marker will cause the deviation of empty intervalestimation.Among them,it is easy to underestimate the magnitude difference and overestimate the magnitude difference.(3)according to the results of EEG,there is no uniform rule for the influence of the change of premarker on empty interval perception, which may be related to the attention mechanism; The effect of the change of the latter marker on empty interval perception has a uniform rule which may be related to attention and internal clock theory.
