"Bufang" is a modal adverb that is frequently used in daily communication.This academic research on "Bufang" focused on the part of speech,grammaticalization,subjectivation,etc.The research angle is relatively single.This article takes the Modern Chinese Modal Adverb "Bufang" as the research object,in combination with a large amount of language.This article uses a lot of combination of description and explanation,dynamic and static methods.A comprehensive and meticulous examination of the the Three-dimensional grammar,with a view to enriching the research results of modal adverb.The content of the article is mainly divided into the following sections:The first part explains the reasons for selecting the topic,relevant research,research methods and source of corpus.The second part contains four chapters.Firstly,we make a lexical assessment of the "Bufang".Secondly,this article study the characteristics of "Bufang" from the three dimensions including syntax,semantics and pragmatics.The first chapter defines the word "Bufang" in sentences which are located in the middle or at the end of the sentence.This article tries to tell the difference in speech.The article uses the criterion of combining eight meanings and functions proposed by Chunhong Qi.This criterion can help examine whether "Bufang" is a modal adverb or not.The second chapter analyzes it from the syntactic level.The "Bufang"syntactic position is more flexible and it forms three syntactic formats: NP+Bufang +VP,NP+VP+ Bufang +VP,Bufang +NP+VP."Bufang" can serve as a sentence component,it is also possible to combine different levels of language components to form higher level language units."Bufang" has a strong combination of capabilities.Take the pattern "Bufang +X" as an example,"X" can be acted by a variety of components.The article also focuses on the adverbs and modal adverbs co-occurring with "Bufang".The third chapter analyzes it from the semantic level.First of all,the basic grammatical meaning of "Bufang" is to express the speaker's subjective attitude and suggestions to the proposition.After that,this article takes the fragment of language containing "Bufang" into consideration.Combining a large amount of actual data,we have summarized several semantic structure patterns of "Bufang"speech blocks.Summarizes the logical and semantic relationships among the ABCD components of the speech block.The article also examines the semanticorientation and semantic features of "Bufang".The fourth chapter analyzes it from the aspect of pragmatics.This article combines specific contexts to examine pragmatic and pragmatic functions of"Bufang".We discovered that the use of "Bufang" in a conversation also reflects politeness principles.The third part summarizes the content of the article,and makes clear the shortcomings of the article in the research process,so as to put forward the future improvement direction.
