With the intensification of economic globalization,foreign cultures have been infiltrating and propagating their own values,which has caused great impact on socialist ideology.English textbooks are not only the carrier of spreading the language knowledge,but also an important media of spreading ideology.In traditional teaching,ideological content is often neglected.At the same time,due to the lack of objective language environment,the dependence of foreign language teaching on teaching materials in China can easily lead to blind adherence to teaching.Therefore,it is urgent to strengthen the anti-control awareness of text reading to resist cultural invasion.On the other hand,emerging tourism forms such as eco-tourism,cultural tourism,participatory tourism and leisure and health care,etc.are becoming more and more popular.In the process of cultural tourism which are widely concerned and loved,local culture has become a unique part of the cultural resources of a certain region,occupying the irreplaceable position.Some local colleges also shoulder the responsibility.In the professional curriculum,teachers consider the local tourism economy.It has formed a coalition of the integration of enterprises,colleges and administrative.But in the process of tourism major English teaching of secondary vocational school,some teachers do not pay enough attention to the teaching reform,and do not realize the importance of adhering to and penetrating local culture.For this phenomenon,this paper takes English reading teaching in secondary vocational schools as the entry point to study its cultural penetration.First of all,this paper illustrates the relationship between language and culture,foreign language teaching and culture teaching,and clarifies the importance and inevitability of infiltrating local culture in English teaching of secondary vocational schools.The professional characteristics of tourism services and management require local culture to be infiltrated into English teaching.The abundant local cultural resources also provide a guarantee for cultural infiltration.Similarly,the infiltration of local culture is conducive to enriching English teaching activities as well as the protection and inheritance of local culture.This paper further determines the principles and strategies of local cultural infiltration in secondary vocational English teaching.The principles and strategies are the integrity principle,difference principle,practicality principle,interest principle and comparison strategy,experience strategy,appreciation strategy.Under the guidance of the principles and strategies,the third chapter of the thesis conducts teaching design around three course contents.Through the implementation of the teaching design,the conclusion is drawn.The long-term implementation of local cultural penetration in English teaching has a certain effect,which can make students understand and inherit local culture,and at the same time improve the teaching effect.This paper combines English teaching with local culture teaching to carry out the research.It starts with the English teaching of tourism services and management major of a secondary vocational school in Harbin,and carries out the research by combining professional characteristics,student characteristics and course features,which has a certain practical significance.In addition,it is also able to carry out investigation and research on this issue in practical teaching activities,which makes the research results more instructive,and affirms the effect and function of local culture infiltration in the English teaching in secondary vocational schools.However,the research object of this paper is mainly the classes of a secondary vocational school.The universality of the research results remains to be verified,which is the deficiency that needs improving.
