Narrative Design And Application In Textile Window Display

With the gradual improvement of the level of social development,people’s consumption needs and life concepts are constantly improving and improving.Nowadays,the environment of the shop and the design of the window are important factors that affect the shopping of the consumers.Excellent window display design stimulates the visual sense,and the addition of narrative adds new connotation to textile window display.Narratology,as a discipline,has been applied to western literary works.With the exchange and integration of design,it has developed into narrative design.From a time point of view,the origin of window design began in the 19 th century in Europe,the beginning of business and department stores,is the product of the industrial age.The textile and garment industry is at the forefront of fashion,and window is the most direct stage to display fashion.The textiles displayed in the window not only exist as commodities,but also are endowed with rich and colorful narrative aesthetic images.While enjoying the aesthetics,the viewer can get the knowledge of the relevant textile brands.The birth of the window design art symbolized the arrival of the new commercial society and the new commercial management era.With the prosperity of contemporary commerce,window design has become a subject that integrates visual art and space technology.It provides an important aesthetic basis and visual design experience for the aesthetic existence in our daily life.This paper studies from narratology,semiotics,consumer society,Eastern and Western art works and so on.It analyses the continuous relationship between the display design of textile window and the above-mentioned disciplines and theories.It shows the sense of plot design in the static limited window space,so as to make the overall space of textile window and the clothing displayed.More tension and collision between accessories,more attractive and appealing overall effect,enrich the design form of textile window display,expand the scope of narrative application,in order to enhance the design level and artistic conception of textile window display in China.
