The Research On The Design Forms And Characteristics Of Window Display In Wuhan From 1950s To 1980s

Window display design is an important part of modern design,fusion of a variety of design disciplines,is a comprehensive design manifestations;and the window is the product of commercial development,itself and the regional economic level,social status,social ideology are inseparable and affect each other.Through the research on the window display design in a specific area and period,we can not only understand the design development level and the present state of the area in this period,but also analyze the relationshipd between design and economic development through the window design.The main line of the article is studying the 1950s-80 s Wuhan window display design forms and characteristics,through cross-study and qualitative analysis method,elaborated the relationship between Wuhan window display design and political culture,economic development,social Productivity and ideology during this period.Horizontal comparison at the same time the domestic and foreign window display design,to analyze and summarize the characteristics of window display design in Wuhan City from the 1950 s to the 1980 s.After analysis and research,we found: in the 1950 s and 1980 s,Wuhan city's window display was not a mere product promotion function.Due to the influence of complex social background and political of the time,the basic function of the window display-product promotion tended to be weakened and showing different functional variations that cater to political and social patterns in different historical periods.At the design level,the design style of this period was a one-off faction.Under the background of extremely material shortage and backward social development,window display design can survive in the face of adversity with a very distinctive mark of the times.The article innovatively combines the social background,political culture research and window display design,and seeks to show the extremely typical social form of the 1950s-1980 s in our country.Researching on the Design Forms and Characteristics of Window Display in Wuhan from 1950 s to 1980 s helps to understand the existence and function of the design during the specific historical period in our country.This is of some value to the design and study of our country in the 1950s-80 s during this period.
