At the end of the 20 th century and the beginning of the 21 st century, the theory of "moral identity" was gradually developed and formed in the study of western moral psychology. Its main research purpose is the relationship between moral idea and moral practice. It tries to explain the important role and construction mechanism of the concept of moral-self in moral choice.Several important topics in moral identity are the influence of morality on the self-construction of the subject/The influence of self on behavior choice/The occurrence and construction mechanism of morality, etc. Most of the research methods it uses are empirical and scientific methods. But some philosophers research the issue of moral identity differently from the above-mentioned point of view. They think that human's self-concept,moral sense and identity are not only discussed from the point of view of rational analysis, but also more important to understand moral self from the direction of emotional synthesis. The rise of narrative theory brings new possibility to the study of moral self.Narrative self regards human being as a way of being,in a narrative whole, through the promotion of plot,human-beings' idea, action can be explained by continuity and persistence. The article is divided into four parts. The introduction mainly expounds the origin of the topic selection, the research status in China and the West, the discrimination of related concepts and the argumentation ideas of this paper. The second chapter is a basic summary of the background of the theoretical psychology of moral identity. The third chapter is divided into three sections to discuss Ricoeur Paul,Alasdair Chalmers MacIntyre and Charles Taylor ‘s narrative theory. The fourth chapter explains the relationship between subject problem and moral identity on the basis of summarizing the theory of moral identity and hermeneutics research on moral and ethical issues of human beings, how to respond to narrative self as a way out of Modern moral Dilemma, and expounding the possible way for people to pursue a good life under themodern background.
