The dissemination and attention of information is an important topic in the study of communication, information science and information geography, but research from the field of geography is still relatively rare. The rapid development of the Internet has greatly reduced the cost of information transmission and communication, and the rapid spread of information devices represented by mobile phones makes it easier for people to obtain information.Whether the influence of geographical distance on information dissemination is not important, there is no consensus. Therefore,it is of great significance to study the spatial characteristics of information dissemination and the influence of geographical distance on it.This paper conducts research based on the behavioral activities under the influence of geographic grounding and the cost of attention, and provides a theoretical explanation for how geographical distance works. This paper selects three news events as the research object of short-term information and two kinds of variety shows as the research object of long-term information.Compare and analyze short-term information and long-term information, and show the spatial-temporal characteristics of network attention to hot information. And through regression analysis to explore the influence of geographical distance on information dissemination. This paper draws the following main conclusions: Geographical distance has a significant negative impact on information dissemination and attention. When the information propagation time is short, the role of geographical distance is relatively obvious. As the propagation time continues, the role of geographical distance is gradually weakened. The spread of information has a certain near-proliferation phenomenon, and the attention of information presents the characteristics of continuous expansion to areas far away. The urban architecture of information attention has a tendency to polarize toward high-ranking cities with the continuous dissemination of information.Economic factors, population size and age structure have an important influence on the spatial pattern of information attention.Regional characteristics and culture also have certain influence on the attention of specifictypes of information. This paper provides new evidence for the study of the influence of geographical distance on information dissemination. |
