The two-wheeled light chariot was introduced to Egypt from the early days of the New Kingdom and gradually became the most important weapon of war in the ancient Egyptian army. This two-wheeled chariot changed the fighting mode of the ancient Egyptian army, from a single infantry battle to a combination of combat vehicles and infantry. The chariots played an important role in the battle in ancient Egypt, the chariots are described in the reliefs of the temple and in a large number of inscriptions. These inscriptions and reliefs reflect the great military strength of the New Kingdom. The chariots of the New Kingdom also showed different forms in different periods. From the beginning of the Eighteenth Dynasty to the end of the twentieth dynasty, the form of chariots in reliefs changed to a certain extent. This change also shows that the ancient Egyptians exerted the function of chariots to the greatest extent through practice and continuous transformation in the continuous foreign war.By comparing and studying the unearthed chariots, the inscriptions related to chariots and the image of chariots in relief,we can understand the changes of chariots in the New Kingdom more intuitively. In addition, pharaohs in chariots also show different images in different reliefs.By comparing these information about reliefs,we can deeply understand more details of ancient Egyptians in depicting chariots and pharaohs, and provide a new perspective on the study of ancient Egyptian artistic image and military war.
