In recent years, the study of ancient Greek ritual norms has received renewed attention in the field of ancient Greek legal inscriptions. The study of restoration, restoration and translation of inscriptions on ritual norms has been mature. However, there are still disputes about the classification, naming, definition of ritual norms and the social role of such inscriptions. This paper aims to analyze the misuse of the word "Sacred Law" in defining and naming ancient Greek religious norms and inscriptions on religious practice. The inscription is named and defined by the word "Ritual Norm" in the light of Carbon,J.M.and Pirenne-Delforge,V..Through the analysis of the wrong viewpoints in the past and the presentation of the relatively correct viewpoints today, the readers can clearly understand the connotation of this kind of inscription. However, the discussion of the names and definitions of such inscriptions does not allow readers to have an intuitive and profound understanding of such inscriptions. In addition, because the inscriptions of Athens city-state are quite representative in content and format,Thirty-nine Articles of Athens city-state sacrificial ritual norms are selected to analyze the causes and classification of Athens sacrificial ritual norms. Thus, the characteristics and nature of Athens city-state sacrificial ritual norms are obtained. The examples listed in the second chapter synthesize many remarks and propose a multi-dimensional approach to the study of inscriptions. This method is especially suitable for the study of ancient Greek legal inscriptions.Later,we focused on the social role of ancient Athenian ritual norms.Because these inscriptions have more complex social attributes, the author makes a deep analysis of the social role of ancient Athenian ritual norms on the basis of distinguishing the relationship among morality, law and religion.Take the sacrificial calendar and major festival norms as examples, and pave the way for future research on other types of ritual norms.
