Olive cultivation also takes a special significience of the ancient greek agriculture. As a basic part of Mediterranean Sea agriculture, olive and olive production widely has been used in the greek lifes,in which process a lot of phenomena of culture and society has been bring out.The culture of ancient greek olive and its origin, evolution and form poses the relation between the olive and ancient greek society,economy,cultute,art and religion.This paper,based classical literature,with the methods of archaeology, civilization and religion researching and botany, attempts to have a compositive research on the culture of ancient greek olive,aiming to analyse its content in essence and the interactionalconnection of the culture of ancient greek olive and economy-society.This paper includes 5 parts.The first part introduction will show researching actuality of this item and the basic view of this paper.Following that,the symbol and myth- the origin of the nobel olive tree,will discovery the origin of the nobel olive tree and discuss the relationship between Athena, Heracles and olive tree.The third part about the olive planting and processing,will reappear the truth of olive in greece including olive planting and processing and its gears and equipments,which will totally be based on classical literature and archaeology.In this part,the origin of nobel tree,the protection way of those trees by polis,and olive oil and the number of nobel trees in Attica will be estimated and introduced.The forth part the form and content of olive culture, separately consider about the solution of olive and olive oil in ordinary life and religion,which will discoery the difference of diffenent olive production due to labor force and technique:in station olive oil is superior to cure olive,while the former is mostly consumed by the rich and the later for the poor.based on the view,the consume of olive has superpassed the basic material needs,and it becomes a symbol of rank and status for rich men in greece.In religion the consume of olive and olive oil has strengthened its symbol meaning in culture and solidify its status.In further,five parts of olive culture will be summarized: Culture of state, behavior culture, system culture,religion culture and mental one.The last part olive culture and greek society-economy, will show the interaction between olive culture and economy-religion in greece.
