In the 1930s and 1940s,there were two discourse debates with great influence. These two debates were closely related to China's Northeast issue. The main representatives of the first debate were intellectuals, especially Chinese historians in modern China. At that time,Ishihara kannji,a representative of the Japanese Kwantung Army, put forward such a point of view. His view was that Northeast China is independent of China.Researchers of Oriental History had similar views in Japan.China's historical studies firmly opposed this statement.Because of this, they criticized the theory of Manchuria regionalization emphasized by Japanese academic circles. The second controversy took place after the emergence of Manchukuo.Chinese political parties and literati actively published books related to the Northeast issue. These publications emphasized the fact that Japan invaded the Northeast and encouraged people's anti-Japanese mood.In this way, they hoped to attack the legitimacy of Manchukuo.
