In 1983,Gardner wrote and published "Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligence",marking the formal introduction of the theory of multiple intelligence.The theory holds that each individual has eight intelligences that are relatively independent but integrated.Intelligence is a comprehensive manifestation of wisdom and ability,and it is necessary for individuals to solve problems.The ultimate goal of education is to cultivate a fully developed individual,which is inseparable from the developed intelligence.Therefore,the application of the theory of multiple intelligences in the field of education has far-reaching significance for the development of students.This study firstly searches the Chinese and English materials for the theory of multiple intelligences,and summarizes them to lay the theoretical foundation for the proposed teaching strategies.Secondly,using the questionnaire survey method to understand the current intelligence of primary school students,in order to deepen the teacher's understanding of students and develop appropriate teaching strategies.Then interviewed teachers to explore the use of multiple intelligence in the classroom teaching of primary school English teachers and the implementation of teaching strategies.Finally,through the classroom observation method,the actual situation of the application of multiple intelligence theory and the interaction between teachers and students in the English classroom were recorded and analyzed.The thesis consists of four parts.The first part of the introduction elaborates the background of the research,the core concepts involved in this paper,discusses the results and shortcomings of related research at home and abroad,and the theoretical basis of this paper.It elaborates on the theory of multiple intelligences and finally describes the research selected by the author.method.The second part is the investigation of the status quo and the analysis of the results of primary school English classroom teaching from the perspective of multiple intelligence theory.The third part specifically discusses the teaching strategies of primary school English listening,speaking,reading and writing based on the theory of multiple intelligences,and further explanations are given by corresponding cases.Finally,the conclusions of this paper include the implications of the research that can be provided to teachers in teaching,the limitations of this paper,and the vision for the future.Through the investigation,this study found that the level of intelligent development of students needs to be improved.Students have their own characteristics.Teachers should pay attention to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.In terms of teachers,most teachers do not have in-depth study and research on this theory,and the intelligent activities and teaching strategies are relatively simple and systematic.In view of this situation,based on the theory of multiple intelligences,the author puts forward the teaching strategies of language skills based on the results of the survey,in order to provide teachers with reference opinions and improve the quality of primary school English classroom teaching.
