With the deepening of quality-oriented education and the proposal of core literacy of disciplines,the significance of problem situations in teaching has became increasingly important.In Primary School English classroom teaching,the creation of problem situations can guide students to think independently,let students experience the process of exploring and solving problems in specific situations,promote the internalization and self-construction of knowledge,and cultivate students' problem consciousness and thinking quality.This study takes T Primary School in Nankai District of Tianjin as the practice base.With the help of the LICC model,observes 16 normal English classes in Primary Schools from three dimensions of “Instruction”?“Learning” and “Curriculum”,collects information about the creation of problem situations in Primary School English classroom teaching.Furthermore,through interviews with teachers and students to understand the attitudes of teachers and students towards the creation of problem situations in Primary School English classroom teaching.Based on the above survey methods,it's found that the following problems still exist in the creation of problem situations in Primary School English classroom teaching:1.Too much reliance on multimedia in the creation of problem situations;2.Students' problem thinking exercise is insufficient;3.Lack of penetration and relevance of problem situations;4.Problem setting is difficult to take the level and gradient into account;5.The evaluation of the creation of problem situations is not comprehensive;6.Teachers' teaching reflection is not enough.This study analyzes the causes of the problems found in the investigation from both internal and external aspects.Finally,based on the survey results and the actual situation,the following improvement strategies are put forward from the perspective of teachers' classroom teaching:1.Preparation stage:improve teachers' comprehensive quality and ensure the effectiveness of the creation of problem situations;2.Implementation stage:flexibly create problem situations and create diversified ways;3.Reflection stage:Scientifically evaluate the teaching process and strengthen teaching reflection.Hope to provide reference suggestions for Primary School English teachers and improve the current situation of the creation of problem situations in Primary School English classroom teaching,and improve the quality of classroom teaching.
