?Plug in the clouds? is a Mongolian film,which was edited by Yang Hansheng and directed by Ying Yunwei in 1942,building up a good foundation for the development of ethnic films in China.Besides,children subject films play an important role in Mongolian film as more than 20 of Mongolian film related to children subject have been released in China.Those films such as ? The son of Saiyin Majik ? ? Green Grass??Looking for Nadam??Xilin Gol·Wenchuan??Horse Junior??Blue School??Ujimuk's child?have won about 20 awards around the world,which can be easily distinguished from any other different minorities in China because of its own characteristic.However,a few investigators focus on the discovery of Mongolian children subject film and thereby this kind of films lack of a clear classification.Following these thoughts in mind,this essay will deeply analyse and explain Mongolian children subject film following with film narratology and Mongolian culture.This essay can be divided into three parts.The first part is to define the Mongolian children subject film combining the definition of ethnic films from the academic world.In addition,Mongolian children subject films can be divided into 5 periods based on time,which are initial period,inherited period,expansive period,transformative period,developing period and prosperous period.The second part of this essay will focus on the content of Mongolian children subject films by introducing the theme,characteristic,plot and space design.The third part of this essay will discuss the impact included sight,construction,image,and vocality on Mongolian children subject film.
