After 2000,the abundance of material products prompts the audience to start to look for new spiritual and cultural products,and it was just around this period that food TV programs appeared as the predecessor of food documentaries.It was after “A Bite of China” was released by the CCTV in 2012 that Chinese food documentaries started to attract attention in a real sense.Afterwards,researches on food documentaries in the academic and creation circles started to concentrate on the text analysis on the success of the series of “A Bite of China” or explore into the way of narration and comparison of food documentaries.This paper combines the graduation design titled “Die·Xi'an” in sorting out and innovating the creation concept of food documentaries,so as to add a new perspective to researches on food documentaries.The author believes that the creation concept of food documentaries is influenced by the “direct movie” concept and “self-reflection”concept of traditional documentaries.Meanwhile,an equipment of rich visual and audio language storage,marketization profiting consciousness and cultural value integration at the level of creation concept is also needed.
