In today's fast-paced material society,the documentary of humanities is a true and pertinent memory in the process of social development.The documentary image has become a good way to express life activities.It expresses life emotion through objective,deep and multi-perspective artistic means,and becomes the basis for people to understand and think about society.This is the soft power of documentary images.The creation of documentary films of humanities is a complicated process.This paper,through watching and analyzing the creation process of many excellent documentary films of humanities,such as "Traveller Trilogy" "The World" "Shengmen" "Deep Shambala" "Thirty-two" "Rocking World" "The Old Man of Nashan" and "Kindergarten",combines with my degree works "Scissors".Suiyu Zhixin's creation of the 2018 National Paper-cut Workshop explores the creation methods of documentary films of humanities.The paper is mainly divided into the following aspects:Firstly,starting from the concept of documentary creation,this paper analyses the ways and means of documentary director's cognitive intervention and adjustment of creative mentality in the initial stage of documentary creation,and finally achieves the double expression of life's complexity and contingency,documentary and art.Secondly,it mainly discusses its unique features from the methods and characteristics in the process of photographic shooting of documentary films of humanities.It draws on real materials,records real life activities rationally and objectively,and expresses the power and texture of life.In the process of artistic creation,documentary directors should grasp the degree of rationality and sensibility and make them coexist harmoniously.Thirdly,discussing the post-editing of documentary films of humanities,documentary directors balance the recording and implication;at the same time,they integrate the director's personality style and the fashionable atmosphere of the current fast-paced video;music and simultaneous voice play a role in foiling and supplementing the narrative of the picture.Reach the expression of rationality and emotion.Fourthly,the paper discusses how to express the theme of documentary films by means of questions and answers in specific situations,and the method of concise theme and synchronization of creation.
