The Comparative Study Of The Apparel Words In The Versions Of Modern Chinese Dictionary

Apparel words contain rich cultural connotations and reflect a strong sense of the times.Modern Chinese vocabulary is rich in style,covering all areas of social life,and apparel words are one of its components.Through the study of the changes in apparel words,we can understand the impact of social development changes on the development of Chinese vocabulary;on this basis,we can explore the relationship between social development and Chinese vocabulary system.At the same time,from the perspective of lexicography,the study of apparel words has certain reference value for the revision and improvement of the normative dictionaries such as Modern Chinese Dictionary.This article selects the apparel words in the Modern Chinese Dictionary as the research object,and uses the combination of synchronic and diachronic methods to collect the number,interpretation and “same thing with different names” words in the editions of Modern Chinese Dictionary,which shows the changes in the collection of apparel words in the Modern Chinese Dictionary in the past forty years.This article is divided into five parts.The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the research object,research status,research significance and research methods of this topic.The second chapter mainly analyzes the changes in the number of apparel words collected in each version of dictionary,the main sources of new apparel words,the main reasons for the deletion of apparel words.In addition,it is pointed out that the deletion of individual high-frequency words still needs careful consideration,and some words still have the phenomenon of word form replacement,“Erhua”change and item change.The third chapter analyzes the interpretation changes of the apparel words.In terms of meaning,it is expressed as additions,deletions and divisions of meanings.The change of the interpretation content reflects that the compilation of the content of the dictionary definition should follow the principles of completeness,accuracy,simplicity and system.In terms of color meaning annotation,it is characterized by changes in the color of the body,the color ofthe region,and the color of the era.The fourth chapter studies the “same thing with different names” words.The composition of the groups of “same thing with different names” words was sorted out.The groups of “same thing with different names” words present a certain combination law in form and word formation.Through case analysis,the BCC corpus was used to investigate its use,and it was found that there was fierce competition and various expressions in the usage tendency of dialect words and common words.The fifth chapter is the conclusion part of the article.The paper summarizes the changes in the number of apparel words,the definitions and the “same thing with different names”words in the Modern Chinese Dictionary.The revision of the dictionary makes it more standardized.At the same time,it also points out its shortcomings in word deletion.
