Fewer scholars have studied on the Liao Dynasty temple murals,and the main reason is lack of examples.Only a few murals have been found at the Liao Dynasty,one of which is the murals in the Buddhist relics padgoda of the Jueshan Temple in Lingqiu County of Shanxi Province.They are very precious and have high artistic value and research value in the history of art.This article focuses on the analysis and research of the aesthetic characteristics of the typical Liao Dynasty temple murals in Jueshan Temple.Based on the review of the previous scholars' study on the Liao Dynasty temple murals,this paper analyzes the image of the Liao Dynasty temple murals in Jueshan Temple from the perspective of field investigation and documentationThis paper put the Liao Dynasty murals in the background of historical development and painting history.Then make an analysis of the historical background,content and drawing style and artistic features of mural formation.It is intended to show the theme and artistic features of the temple murals clearly and completely.Finally,compared with other murals of Buddhist relics padgoda in the same period,the paper summarizes the characteristics of the murals of Liao Dynasty.At the same time,the article highlights the style and uniqueness of the Buddhist relics padgoda murals of Jueshan Temple in Lingqiu County,Shanxi Province.I hope that through the research and analysis of this article,we can have an in-depth understanding of the temple murals in Jueshan and the Liao Dynasty temple murals.In the future art practice,we can learn and apply the artistic elements of traditional murals to enrich our artistic creation.
