Community is the self-evident existence that individuals confront. How to treat the spirit of the community is of great significance for human's interactions and the construction of the community. The separation of civil society and nation-states,the rise of individual freedom and rights since the modern times have made the community a competitive domain of economy and power and lost the natural spirit of ethics. The Kantian doctrine,on the one hand, has inherited the themes of modern epistemology and metaphysics that have revolved around the relationship between “thinking” and “being”;on the other hand,it has displayed reflections and criticisms on the existing community and the modernity of the Enlightenment. The French Revolution countered oppression with violent actions, correspondingly, since Kantian doctrine published,Germany set off a resistant revolution in a philosophical way.The concept "ethical community" has rich connotations in Kant's doctrine, though it is a small concept that hasn't been elaborated repeatedly. The thesis mainly analyzes the essence of the "ethics community" and its role in Kantian theory from four aspects as follow: the design of the idea, the structure of the concept, the religious dimension, and the historical approach. The thesis maintains that the ethical community is the meeting point for many aspects of Kant's philosophy system. The ethical community in kantian theory is metaphysical rather than empirical.Kant was not intended to build a community from the basis of economy, politics, culture, and other fields in a social science way.The most fundamental point is simply to point out that moral metaphysics is the basis for the reconstruction of an ideal ethical community: Taking the free will of moral noumena as the starting point of the possibility of practical actions, and necessary connection between virtue and happiness as the highest good. The starting and the ending point of the reconstruction of ethical community are both related to morality, and in the progress to the end,Kant escorts humankind with “ethical theology” and “moral teleology”.
