In the late of 19 th century, western modernization made traditional Eastern Asian orders begin to crumble. In Japan,it was difficult to retain Shogunate system;traditional Zhu Zi's Philosophy encountered doubts and was attacked and transfigured;the Samurai spirit in Hagakure spread in Saga han didn't keep pace with the times.Shigenobu Okuma, born in Saga han during the period of Emperor Nink?(1800-1846),has ingrained spirit of times, and that spirit influences the transition period between the late of Shogunate and Meiji Period.Shigenobu Okuma positively accepts the modern new trends of thought, unremittingly struggles for national independence, ruthlessly invades other countries and destroys traditional Eastern Asian orders. All of these embody his early diplomatic thinking and practices. This paper observes and studies on that and tries to analyze the origin of his diplomatic thinking from the perspective of family background and the traditional thoughts' transfiguration in the late of Shogunate. It analyzes Shigenobu Okuma's modern nationalist diplomatic thinking and skills based on researching his approaches on European and American religion and revising the treaty;besides,it unveils his diplomatic thinking essence based on analyzing his plot to invade Taiwan in Qing Dynasty. The aim is to further explore the disintegration of Japanese shogunate system and the construction of Meiji system, and the collision between the tributary system of East Asia and Western treaty system.
