Chinese traditional auspicious patterns are the treasure of the Chinese nation and the common wealth of mankind.These auspiciouspatterns can be regarded as a microcosm of the cultural history of the Chinese nation from ancient times to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.However,today we are facing the reality that Chinese traditional auspicious patterns are facing the crisis of how to modernize.Since the "Reform Movement",various so-called modern civilizations have subverted all aspects of traditional Chinese culture unprecedentedly.In addition to the impact of the fierce modernization wave,the design and application of traditional auspicious patterns,once full of infinite vitality and vitality,are becoming more and more silent and weak.Contemporary society respects the historical culture and national emotion contained in tradition,advocates re-interpreting tradition and rediscovering the modern value hidden in tradition.Specifically in the field of design,contemporary design pursues visual richness and diversity,advocates extracting elements from history and achieving visual richness by means of decoration,thus breaking the monopoly of too rational and monotonous modernist style for a long time,and creating a new era of design.The coming of such an era is our opportunity.It is entirely possible for us to re-interpret and elaborate Chinese traditional auspicious patterns in the context of modernization,re-create them on the basis of maintaining the cultural meaning and national characteristics of Chinese traditional graphics,and re-interpret the traditional cultural content in the design language of the new era.We believe that tradition is not only a narrow concept of time or region,but also contains the spirit of context extension.In the context of modernization,it is necessary for Chinese traditional graphics to realize self-identity transformation on the basis of grasping the opportunities of the times,and to integrate into the international design stage in a new way,thus opening up a new era of Chinese traditional auspicious pattern language in the new pattern of design culture.
