Internet-assisted teaching is booming under the rapid development of education internationalization and technological globalization.And the traditional teaching model also changed from teacher-centered to student-centered.The student?s learning model has also shifted from the traditional way of writing and endorsing the black letters on the white paper to the cooperative learning of English.Cooperative learning,as a new effective learning model,is a teaching theory based on group activities and is considered to be a more important and successful teaching theory and teaching strategy in recent teaching reforms.The teaching concept of cooperative learning corresponds to the new curriculum standard of cultivating students? learning interest,developing students? comprehensive language proficiency and forming independent and cooperative learning ability in the new era.It emphasizes that students develop comprehensive language skills through participation,experience,practice,cooperation and communication under the premise of heterogeneous grouping and clear division of attention.The implementation of cooperative learning is conducive to promoting students to form divergent thinking which can better students? communication ability.It also plays a very important role in creating an active classroom atmosphere and improving students? enthusiasm for learning.The student-centered,teacher-led classroom teaching philosophy is the focus of China?s current foreign language teaching reform.Although Internet plus education makes the content of classroom more enriched,formalized and diversified,students? learning motivation still needs to be strengthened.Learning motivation is one of the most important emotional factors for foreign language learners.Correctly establishing students? English learning motivation can not only help students to improve their interest in learning English,but also enhance their enthusiasm for learning English.English teachers are also becoming more and more essential in encouraging and developing students? motivation to learn.Therefore,through studying the impacts of cooperative learning on junior high school students? English learning motivation,this paper provides a reference and theoretical basis for teachers? future teaching.It is of great significance to promote English teaching in junior high schools and contribute to the students? development.Most researchers apply the cooperative method to high school and college English teaching,aiming to prove whether such method can stimulate motivation of high school students and college students,while fewer searches are conducted on the application of the cooperative method to middle school students and its effects on their English learning motivation.Thus,the author tries to through the experimental methods of questionnaires and tests combining the quantitation research and qualitative research to answer the following three questions: 1.In what aspects does cooperative learning stimulate students? motivation? 2.What factors of motivation does influence students? motivation more greatly? 3.To what extent cooperative learning improve the English learning scores of junior high school students? The students in the second grade of a key junior high school in Changchun City were taken as the research subjects in this paper.The cooperative learning was used in the experimental class,and the traditional teaching mode was used in the control class.Questionnaires were conducted on the experimental and control classes before and after the experiment to understand the changes in learning motivation and academic performance of the two classes before and after the experiment.With the help of SPSS 24.0 statistical analysis software,it was found that through the cooperative learning,the experimental class students showed stronger learning motivation than the control class students,especially the students? instrumental motivation and intrinsic motivation.Cooperative learning has greatly improved students? interest in English learning,as well as students? academic scores in the experimental class were relatively higher.The cooperative learning has a positive impact on the motivation of junior high school students? English learning.Cooperative learning can stimulate students? interest in learning,improve classroom teaching efficiency,and improve students? English academic scores.Although this study has certain limitations to a certain extent,it still has practical value for English teaching on junior high school,which provides reference and theoretical basis for teachers? future teaching.
