This thesis analyzes the narrative transformation of American suspense films in the context of globalization from the perspective of film narratology, and reveals the innovation trend and context of the classic Hollywood narrative system after the advent of globalization.First of all,the thesis begins with the recent popularity of Hollywood in the world, especially the Chinese film market, and discusses the fact that American films are far ahead in terms of industrial technology and narrative capabilities.Suspense films, which are known for their narrative techniques, have a reason to be a typical object of American film narrative research.Secondly, the thesis uses narrative and film narratology as the theoretical basis to sort out the narrative law of American suspense films in the classic Hollywood period, and briefly summarizes the internal changes of the classic Hollywood narrative system before the 1990 s.Thirdly, the thesis combines the background of the era under the globalization process since the 1990 s,expounds the narrative new changes of the three dimensions of the time, space and narrative subject of the suspense movie in the United States, and elaborates on the specific film.Based on the background of life and the trend of globalization art theory, the narrative time changes of American suspense films are classified into four categories: shifting time, fragmentation time, cycle time and parallel time. The narrative space is divided into fragment space. There are four categories of closed space, false space and virtual space;the narrative subject's turn is summarized into four categories: focus trap, open narrative, fictional reality and interactive narrative. Finally, after a brief analysis of the reasons for the narrative film narrative change in the United States, the paper cites the post-modernist "anti-form" literary theory trend behind the narrative turn, and concludes that the film art narrative theory changes behind The root cause is the change in the audience's aesthetic needs.
