Study On The Zhou Dynasty Rite And Its Literary Appearance

China is known as"etiquette of the state",and mature ritual culture has been formed as early as in the Zhou Dynasty.Zhou Gong created rituals and music,after the fabricators who lived in the every period of Zhou Dynasty developed the rituals,forming the"three hundred ritual,three thousand ceremony"which written in The Book of Rites(????).Rite(??)mainly refers to people show the appearance and behavior of ritual when they attend the ceremony.As a constituent element of Zhou ritual,in which it has an important position.Rite as a cultural phenomenon,it also has a close interaction with the Zhou Dynasty literary creation.The influence of rite on Zhou Dynasty's poetry and prose is not only related to literary language and character,but also related to literary genre,which is an important agent for the development of literature in Zhou Dynasty.This paper intends to discuss the relationship between rite and literature in Zhou Dynasty.The thesis is divided into four parts,and the introduction mainly refers to the study of rite,and explains the research value of the relationship between rite and literature.The second part explores several basic problems of rite in Zhou Dynasty.First of all,it analyzes the concept of"Rong"(?)"Weiyi"(??)"Rongli"(??)and"Lirong"(??).It is found that the"Lirong"is the most suitable concept for the research,and it is determined that two levels of Zhou Dynasty rituals all contain rite.In the next place,Zhouli(????)"six ceremony"(“??”)and The Book of Rites"nine posture"(“??”)are the two kinds of representative outlines,and the ideology of the two kinds of outlines need to be analysised.And Rongjing(????)written by Jiayi(??)is a mature symbol of the classification of rite.Finally,it is speculated that rite was became finalize the design by Weishi(??)Family who lived in the early stage of Zhou Dynasty,and the cultural trait of rite in Zhou Dynasty can summarize as the thought of“combination of rites and music”and”advocation of elegant and virtue”,the spiritual symbol of the gentleman culture and social order.The third part focus on teaching of rite and concept of evolution about rite,and discusses the stage of development about rite in Zhou Dynasty.Western Zhou Dynasty,the teaching of rite is the Wangguan(??)academic about nobility education,Shishi(??)and Baoshi(??)cooperated with Yueshi(??)to teach rite in primary school,and Dasiyue(???)was in charge of rite in college.The concept of rite in this period mainly displays political verture and personal verture of the nobility.In the early and middle of the Spring and Autumn Period,the teaching of rite mainly manifested the behavior of Xiangli(??)which Qing(?),Dafu(??)and Junzi(??)performed.And the concept of rite gradually turned into the personal verture,forming a kind of demeanour about Junzi.Late of the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States,the teaching of rite continued by private school form of Confucian school.Confucius and his followers made rite become a kind of theoretical doctrine which contain rich content.The fourth part explores the relationship between rite and literature in the Zhou Dynasty.On the one hand,in the Book of Songs,the poets always use all kinds of tautology of Ideophones to portrary rite,and this linguistic form affect the expression of rite in the Book on Rituals.The artistic technique of writing of rite include detail depict,profile foil,emotion expression,comparison,and this artistic technique may shape abundant characters,affecting the writing that writers use appearance and manner to shape the character.On the other hand,in the prose essay of Zhou Dynasty,the Xiangdang(????)in The Analects of Confucius,written by the three ways,shaping the multilevel characters of Confucius.specifically,including the character of ritual scholar,the character of Junzi and the character of the sage.and the prediction that people carefully watch what others are doing and saying in Zuo zhuan(????),to some extent,it is facilitated by the concept that rite determined the mandate of heaven.
