The Rise Of The Scholars In The Pre-qin Period And Their Explorations Of Rebuilding The New Order

During the Pre-Qin Period,with the decline of the patriarchal clan system,the society was gradually falling into a state of anomic.The social anomie had brought a relatively loose and free environment for the rise of the scholars;it’s an important external condition.At the same time,the Tao had been explained by different scholars around the society,the official education lost the dominant position,the academic moved down,the scholars became the main force of inheriting the Tao."Taking Tao as a special mission of themselves" had become a kind of inner pursuit to most scholars in that period.So,the scholars can soon be on the upgrade due to the inner and exterior factors.But faced with the social anomie,they realized that rebuilding the social order was an urgent matter.So they made many effective explorations for rebuilding the new order.From the society based on rites and music of the Confucians,the society based on the sages of the Monists,the simple and unadorned society of Taoism,to the society with rule and law of Legalism,the diplomatic society of the Political Strategists,the submissive society of the Yin-Yang School and so on.The scholars had finally promoted to rebuild a unified society,and this kind of society also affected the next Chinese Society for more than two thousand years deeply.They had set good examples for us,because they not only showed their respect to the tradition but also pursued the new order in the process of exploring to rebuild a new society.
