Zhang Yueran So Novel Creation

From narrative of the youth to inquiry of the history,with the keen,perspective and objective creation,Yueran Zhang described the micro history of young people finding themselves and seeking identification,explored their deep and rich inner world,and interpreted vividly the lost in the past time and confusion in the future about the young generation.In her work we can clearly perceived her idealistic pursuit of love,female independent personality,and criticism of the impetuous atmosphere in the hubbub age.The neoteric narrative method and creative image made her novel filling with poetic and aesthetic emotion.Her unique writing style promoted the contemporary deeply,and let the aesthetic works reach to a new level.In this paper,based on an overview of predecessors' research achievements of Zhang's works,combined with Zhang's latest work,by means of close reading,the text was discussed in three aspects,the theme,the character,and stylistic feature: The first chapter discussed the theme of love and death in following three aspects:synchronic perspective from the pure love of selfless giving,desperate youth with wrong love,and aesthetic redemption of death.The second chapter discussed extreme characters from the novel mainly in following three aspects: the sadism and masochism girl,tragic but self-reliance women and ruthless and brutal father,to analyz the reason of the writer figuring these kinds of characters.The third chapter mainly discussed Zhang's unique "Youth" narrative style in following three aspects:the perspective of self-narrative,unconventional imagery,and polyphonic structure,to explore pursuits in different periods of creation and unique temperament of Zhang.Under the structure of emotional attitude,cultural connotation and artistic value in the novel,I try to find out,the fresh and unique spirit world hiding in the text representation.
