People's simple belief in the changeable nature of human beings has wide influence on people's cognition and behavior. The more you think of people's traits as fixed, the stronger the stereotype. And one of the consequences of internalizing stereotypes is the rationalization of the status quo, which may hinder social justice.Existing literature shows,Few scholars have studied implicit theory to influence system justification through stereotypes. This study attempts to verify the impact of implicit gender role theories on gender stereotypes and gender system justification, and to further explore how to reduce system justification, taking into account the implicit theoriy. In this study, college students from universities in Nanchang were recruited as the research subjects, research covering two parts.Study 1,random sampling of 175 subjects,by using the questionnaire method to examine the gender impact of implicit gender role theories(IGRT)on gender system justification by gender stereotypes, using A quasi-experimental design,144 participants were randomly selected to verify the results of the study 1 and to examine,in conjunction with the implicit theories, the effects of different cognitive settings on gender stereotypes and gender system justification, and to explore ways to reduce gender system justification. The main results are as follows:1.The implicit gender role theories(IGRT)of male college students,self-gender stereotypes, and gender system justification were significantly higher than those of female.2.The IGRT of college students was positively predictive of self-gender stereotypes, while IGRT and self-stereotypes were positively predictive of gender system justification.3.For male college students, the IGRT exists through gender stereotypes that influence gender system justification.4.Under different cognitive conditions, there were significant differences between the subjects' gender stereotypes and their gender system justification, with the males in the entity group significantly higher than those in the incremental group, while the difference edge between the female in the incremental group and the entity group was significant.5.In the cognitive context of incremental, the gender difference of gender stereotype is not significant;in the cognitive context of entity, the gender difference is significant, and the male is higher than the female.6.In the cognitive context of incremental, there was a significant gender difference in the gender system justification between male and female;in the cognitive context of entity, there was a significant difference in the gender system justification between the gender, with male higher than females. The conclusion is as follows:Female college students do not maintain the status quo of women's vulnerability by endorsing their own stereotypes and system justification gender. The cognitive landscape of the incremental theories favours male college students to reduce their gender system justification.
