Gender role conflict(GRC)is defined as a psychological state in which socialized gender roles have negative consequences for the person or others.GRC occurs when individual's cognition, emotions, and behaviors are inconsistent with traditional gender roles norms. In the past 30 years, the main research subjects in this field were men.In the past 30 years, the research content in this field mainly involved the compilation of male gender role conflict scale and the relationship between gender role conflict and mental health.Few researchers have compiled a female-role conflict scale and investigated the characteristics of attentional processing of gender role conflictors. In order to enrich the study of gender role conflict, this study intend to revise the domestic gender role conflict scale and utilize versual dot probe paradigm and masked version of the dot probe task to examine the attentional bias characteristics of high school students with High Gender Role Conflict Level in the sub marginal and marginal levels. The study included three experiments.Study 1 revised the domestic gender role conflict scale into a scale which applicable to high school male and female students.Research 2 and Study 3 respectively adopt versual dot probe paradigm and masked version of the dot probe task to examine the components of attention bias and the change characteristics. The results are as follows:1.The revised Gender Role Conflict Scale consists of 6 dimensions and 29 items. The internal consistency coefficient of the scale was 0.835,the internal consistency reliability of each factor was between 0.675-0.853,the half-confidence was 0.769,the half-point reliability of each factor was between 0.619-0.815,and are stable in six factors. The scale can be used as a useful tool in mearsuring the gender role conflict of male and female high school students.2.Findings in the threshold-level attentional bias study:(1)When the interval between the target word and the probe point was 200 ms and the clues were the consistent, the experimental group had attentional alluring for positive and negative vocabulary; The male subjects in the experimental group had the same result.Female subjects were alert to positive vocabulary. When the clueswere inconsistent, there is no attention bias in the experimental group and the control group, the female subjects in the experimental group had a attentional disengaging difficult for negative words.(2)High school students with high gender role conflict level had a“awareness-avoidance” pattern in marginal level and consistent clues.Under the inconsistency condition,In the attentional early-term(SOA=200ms,SOA: stimulus onset asynchrony)no attentional bias;In the mid-term(SOA = 500 ms),There was a a attentional disengaging difficult.3.Male and female high school students with high Gender Role Conflict Level had a gender diffence in their attention bias.Under the condition of marginal level level and consistent clues, males had attention alluring for positive and negative words in the attentional early-term,and had attention avoiding in the mid-term;females had attention alluring for positive words in theearly-term,and no attentional bias is found in the mid-term.Under the condition of inconsistent clues, male did not had attentional bias in the early-term,and had attention disengaging difficult for positive and negative words in the mid-term.Female had attention disengaging difficult for negative words in the early-term;4.In the sub marginal level, attention bias study did not find high gender role conflict level high school had attention bias, did not find gender differences between the subjects. The final findings are as follows:1.The revised gender role conflict factor structure is stable, with good reliability and validity, and can be used as a measurement tool for gender role conflict among male and female high school students.2.In sub marginal leves, high school students with high gender role conflict level have attential bias, and there is a gender difference in the components of attention bias.3.Experimental cues and SOA are important factors that affect the attentional bias component in marginal leves.4.Attention bias experiment in sub marginal level did not find high school students with high gender role conflict level had attentional bias and gender differences between subjects.
