Objective:To explore the aggressive characteristics of two types of fragile high self-esteem college students,to verify that if there is a high correlation between different types of fragile high self-esteem individuals and aggression. At the same time,to verified that if there is an attention bias to attack cues.If the attention bias is exist,What is its composition. On the basis of this,we further explore the relationship between the aggression of fragile high self-esteem college students and the component of their attention bias to attack cues.Method:Adopt the Rosenberg's explicit self-esteem scale,Implicit Association Test and contingency self-esteem scale to filtrate the college students with fragile high self-esteem and secure high self-esteem,the Buss-Warren attack questionnaire of the revision of China was used to inspection the attacking characteristics.Through the emotional Stroop paradigm and the spatial cue paradigm, the attention bias to the attack cues and the components were investigated. On the basis of this,we will explore whether fragile high self-esteem college students have higher tendency of aggressive behavior or not and their aggressive characteristics, the relationship between aggressiveness of fragile high self-esteem college students and their attention preference for attack cues was discussed.Result: The first research:1.There is high relationship between contingency high self-esteem and total score of aggression(r=0.267,p<0.01),physical attack(r=0.124,p<0.01),anger(r=0.186,p<0.05),hostility(r=0.404,p<0.01)and indirect attack(r=0.245,p<0.01);There is high relationship between incongruent high self-esteem and total score of aggression(r=0.261,p<0.01),physical attack(r=0.305,p<0.01),anger(r=0.238,p<0.01)and indirect attack(r=0.166,p<0.01).2.There was a significant difference between the two groups of students with contingency high self-esteem and real high self-esteem in the total score of aggression(T=2.240,p=0.026),hostility(T=3.396,p=0.001)and indirect attack(T=2.127,p=0.035).And there is a significant difference between incongruent high self-esteem and congruent high self-esteem students in the total score of aggression(T=2.880,p= 0.005),anger(T=3.421,p= 0.001)and indirect attack(T=2.083,p=0.039).The second research:Compared to secure high self-esteem college students, the reaction time of fragile high self-esteem college students to the attacking words is longer than to neutral words(T=2.206,P=0.031),the interaction of vocabulary and self-esteem type was significant(F=4.834,p=0.029).The third research:1.The reaction time of fragile high self-esteem college students in different types of vocabulary and cues condition was difference, the main effect of the type of cues is significantly(F=56.865,p=0.000),the interaction of vocabulary and self-esteem type is significant(F=5.613,p=0.019),fragile high self-esteem college students have obvious preference for attacking vocabulary;the interaction of three factors of vocabulary, cues and self-esteem is significant(F=5.243,p=0.023),the reaction time of fragile high self-esteem college students to the attacking words under the condition of inconsistent cues condition is longer than to neutral words(T=2.952,p=0.004).2.Under the condition of inconsistent cues condition, the difference of reaction time between the attack word and neutral words(difficulty disengaging attention)was significantly correlated with the indirect attack dimension of the attack questionnaire(r=0.281,p<0.05).Conclusion:1.Compared to secure high self-esteem,fragile high self-esteem college students have higher tendency of aggressive behavior.2.Different types of fragile high self-esteem individuals have different tendency of aggressive behavior.Among them, contingency high self-esteem individuals tend to produce hostility and indirect aggression;incongruent high self-esteem individuals tend to experience more anger and indirect aggression.3.Fragile high self-esteem college students have obvious attention bias towards aggressive vocabulary.4.The component of attention bias towards aggressive cues of fragile high self-esteem college students is difficulty disengaging attention from aggressive cues.5.The aggressive behavior of the fragile high self-esteem college students is related to the difficulty disengaging attention from aggressive cues.
